NTT Research is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounting Analyst to join our Controller’s team. NTT Research is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounting Analyst to join our Controller’s team. In this high-impact role, you will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP while supporting key accounting areas including, payroll and benefits, revenue recognition, software and patent capitalization, and expense recognition of research agreements.   • Responsible for full-cycle payroll-related accounting, including recording, tracking, reporting, and detailed analysis.
    • Collaborate closely with Human Resources team on all payroll-related accounting matters, including wages, taxes and employee benefits.
    • Fully align with finance to support budget cycles and ongoing forecasts and provide in-depth monthly analysis of operating expense results for employee-related costs compared to budget and forecast.
    • Prepare journal entries.
    • Prepare monthly reconciliations and roll forward schedules.
    • Prepare reports and supporting documentations for tax and government filings.
  • Prepare and maintain accounting for revenue recognition, patent filings, software capitalization, and research agreements.
  • Prepare journal entries to support the 5-day monthly close process for prepaids, accruals patents and other general matters.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and ensure subsidiary ledgers reconcile with the general ledger.
  • Prepare fluctuation analysis of select balance sheet and P&L accounts over various time periods.
  • Resolve discrepancies in accounting data as identified.
  • Assist with documenting and monitoring internal controls.
  • Assist with development of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support audits, budgeting/forecasting processes, and perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required; a Master’s degree and CPA are preferred.
  • Over 3 years of combined experience in accounting, tax, audit and ERP systems, with global experience in the technology sector preferred.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including the ability to research accounting literature and apply accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, lookups, sumifs) and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct is desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to multiple demands and shifting priorities, delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated history of teamwork and a willingness to take initiative.
  • Acute attention to detail and accuracy with an aptitude for troubleshooting data discrepancies.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through of instructions.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a full-time remote environment with the flexibility to travel as needed.
