The CIS Lab scientist role will serve as a researcher performing basic research in the fields of cryptography and theoretical computer science. The incumbent will perform research works including but not limited to: writing papers for academic journals and international conferences, presentations, mentoring interns and postdocs, and patent applications.

The CIS Lab scientist role will serve as a researcher performing basic research in the fields of cryptography and theoretical computer science. The incumbent will perform research works including but not limited to: writing papers for academic journals and international conferences, presentations, mentoring interns and postdocs, and patent applications.

  • Write papers for academic journals and international conferences
  • Give presentations at conferences and workshops
  • Mentor internship students and postdoctoral fellows
  • Apply for patents with the help of patent attorneys if there is patentable inventions in conference paper

  • PhD in computer science, mathematics, or related areas  
  • Postdoc experiences for one or two years are preferred
  • Strong ability to do a top level of research 
  • Knowledge about cryptography and computer science as a professional researcher
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to deliver presentations at conference and workshops
  • Ability to mentor younger researchers
