As the Accounting Analyst, you will play a vital role within the Controller’s organization, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of NTT Research’s financial statements in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP). You will assist the Senior Accounting Manager with accounting for fixed assets, patents, joint research and other operating expenses. As the Accounting Analyst, you will play a vital role within the Controller’s organization, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of NTT Research’s financial statements in accordance with U.S.  Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP). You will assist the Senior Accounting Manager with accounting for fixed assets, patents, joint research and other operating expenses.   • Responsible for full cycle fixed assets recording, tracking, reporting and physical validation that include:
    • Reviews of transactions that qualify for capitalization;
    • Creates detailed fixed asset records and depreciation schedules;
    • Prepares accounting journal entries;
    • Prepares monthly reconciliations and roll forward schedules;
    • Maintains accuracy of fixed assets register/subledger for accounting, tax, audit and budgeting; and
    • Responds to information requests of fixed asset records and documentation.
  • Prepares, maintains and reports information for patent filings, including accounting entries, analysis, reconciliation and reporting.
  • Prepares journal entries to support the 5-day monthly close process for prepaids, accruals patents and other general matters.
  • Prepares monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and ensures subsidiary ledgers reconcile with the general ledger.
  • Prepare fluctuation analysis of select balance sheet and P&L accounts over various time periods.
  • Resolve discrepancies in accounting data as identified.
  • Assist in documenting and monitoring internal controls.
  • Assist in the development of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Senior Accounting Manager.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required; a Master’s degree and CPA are preferred.
  • Over 3 years of combined experience in accounting, tax, audit and ERP systems, with global experience in the technology sector preferred.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including the ability to research accounting literature and apply accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, lookups, sumifs) and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct is desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to multiple demands and shifting priorities, delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated history of teamwork and a willingness to take initiative.
  • Acute attention to detail and accuracy with an aptitude for troubleshooting data discrepancies.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through of instructions.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a full-time remote environment with the flexibility to travel as needed.
